Handsome Tours presents the return of London-based sonic outfit Public Service Broadcasting, bringing their powerful, cinematic live show back to Australia this May with a special Sydney performance.

Since emerging in 2009, Public Service Broadcasting, led by instrumentalist-auteur J. Willgoose, Esq., have forged a singular musical identity, transforming archival narratives into rousing, emotionally resonant works that blend post-rock, electronics and orchestral grandeur.

Across a celebrated catalogue including Inform-Educate-Entertain, The Race For Space, Every Valley, Bright Magic, the spectacular BBC Proms recorded This New Noise, and their most recent release The Last Flight, the band have explored human endeavour, collective memory and the restless urge to push beyond known limits.

Sonically rich and emotionally expansive, Public Service Broadcasting’s music evokes motion, risk and wonder — from propulsive hymns of flight to moments of haunting stillness. Their meticulous storytelling and immersive performances elevate history into something urgent, vivid and deeply human.

Renowned for their visually arresting live shows and their ability to turn historical narratives into shared, communal experiences, Public Service Broadcasting’s Sydney return promises an unforgettable encounter — one that is awe-inspiring, moving and exhilarating in equal measure.

Joining Public Service Broadcasting is special guest Flyying Colours

A decade on from the release of their debut single ‘Wavygravy’, Australia’s leading shoegaze-dream pop outfit Flyying Colours released their third studio album You Never Know, earlier this year. An infectious pop panorama fusing ‘80s-inspired keys with glistening guitar and charming vocal harmonies, ‘Goodbye to Music’ marks the first new studio offering from the band since the release of 2021’s globally acclaimed sophomore album, Fantasy Country. According to songwriter and guitarist Brodie Brümmer, 'Goodbye to Music' is about accepting the inevitable consequences of past actions - in this case, about the very real possibility of losing his hearing. "'Goodbye to Music' is about hearing loss," he shares. "For a period of time I became obsessed with how I had neglected my ears over many years of touring, rehearsing, mixing and recording, and I constantly contemplated what it would be like to say goodbye to music."
